Thing 5: Explore Flickr
Exploring Flickr was a visual buffet! My comment after perusing "tags" and "groups" is they are the Container Store for Flickr. Under library uses, I jumped on the altered books..... WOW! The Flickr Creative Commons offers a plethera of stunning visuals that could be used in various and sundry ways by all faculty, staff and students alike.

o man, having to look at this photo is just plain cruel...how I wish I was sitting on the rim looking out and contemplating the universe!
I love your wording--"visual buffet." And that phot is fantastic! I have a great book called Death in the Grand Canyon about all the ways, sometimes exccedingly silly, ways people have died in the Grand Canyon. Maybe that was a little random....
I just want you to know that I CAN spell the following words:
photo
exceedingly
I loved the pictures of the Grand Canyon too! I felt like I could create an awesome mosaic or photostory using the photos found in Flikr creative commons. Good job, keep playing!
I LOOOOOVVVVEEE Flickr. I have my own photos stored there. I started using that last summer and it is aweseome. I like that I can share photos through the net just by sending someone and email and then they have access to the account and can go in and look at the pictures, that I can make some pictures private and others open. It is a great resource for looking for a variety of pictures and I really like the discription you gave of the "visual buffet". I think about the kids having this as another place to go and look for photos for projects and stuff.
